It's hard to believe we've had a half a year's worth of BACKGAMMON BY THE BAY tournaments! While we feel "established" enough to say we'll be around to celebrate a first anniversary, we hope to get there reflecting the whims and wishes of our players. Your feedback, comments, suggestions, fancies and ideas are welcome.

And now for some Really Big News. In prime illustration of the premise, It's not what you know but who you know, Joan and I proudly announce and invite you to visit the BACKGAMMON BY THE BAY Home Page:

http://www.backgammon.org/bgbb/

Useful things you'll find there include contact information, directions to the tourney, a catalogue of results and links to the major backgammon calendars. You'll find fun things there too. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Richard McIntosh for creating this artistic and interesting site, which is made possible by the auspices of Patti Beadles. Even Joe Bob Briggs will check this one out!

Denmark to California is a long distance. Jan Bloxham gets this month's award for traversing that interval. We're honored that you did, Jan!

Keep on rollin' well,

Joan Clark
