Players in the News: Earlier this month, someone from Germany was visiting the San Francisco area. He called me to ask about backgammon activities in the Bay Area, because, he said, "I hear the best players in the States are in San Francisco." Recent results from the Las Vegas tournament sure seem to bear that reputation out!
