After cramming with the HTML books for a couple of months, Kit Woolsey has assembled his new-found 'net skills with his formidable backgammon knowledge and that of other bg luminaries to create an on-line publication backgammon players of all levels are sure to appreciate for its high-calibre instruction and its superior entertainment. Published monthly, it includes matches, articles and quizzes essential for any upwardly-mobile backgammon student. The demo issue is available at www.GammOnLine.com, and subscription info ($36/year) is available and easily navigable there.
With our San Mateo venue closed after three years, we have been given the opportunity to find new tournament locations. For the next few months, we'll try out various sites around the bay area, and in the end, you'll help us decide which one(s) make the grade. Please visit as many of the tournaments as possible for the remainder of the year, so your vote will be an informed one.

Got your travelling shoes on?
The Alameda tournament continues as a regular, first-Sunday-of-the-month occasion. They put on a nice breakfast buffet, so early-arrivers are welcome.
The Campbell tournament is the Third Annual thank-you to our members affair. Reservations are recommended, but probably not required.
The San Francisco tournament has a new starting time (11:00 a.m.) because our contract calls for a 6:00 p.m. exit from the room.
More news on the way: A Palo Alto tournament, date and format to be announced.
Keep on rollin' well,
