Celebrating the international flavor of backgammon, December's tournament brought together festive spirits from all across the globe. The Open division finalists were welcome members of the worldwide backgammon family. Cornelius Wendler and his delightful friend Sondra are starting up a backgammon club in Hamburg, Germany, and Simon Woodhead runs backgammon tourneys in Syndey, Australia. It was so much fun to meet up with them and share stories of life on far shores. Simon, Cornelius and Sondra extend invitations to all of us to join their celebrations when we're next in their necks of the woods.
In 2001, BGBB has new space for our backgammon odysseys. We'll be moving our every-second-Sunday monthly tournaments to

TGI Friday's, renowned for its food and spirit fares, has a delightfully suitable playing spot. The banquet room is bright and spacious, and one couldn't have better company than a bunch of BGBB folks. We hope each and all of you will elect to join us for the induction of this new venue and the return of the tried-and-true formats.
This being the final 2000 issue of the BGBB Newsletter, we are proud to make this announcement. Whistles, hoopla and fireworks, please!
